Am I the only one, really?

Updated: Jun 14, 2018

"You're the only Christian I have ever met in my life." This is something I hear very often. Christianity is still quite small in Japan, it's estimated that less than a fraction of 1% are Christian - that is why many people have never met a Christian, never been in a church building, or have never seen or touched a Bible with their own eyes and hands. Sometimes I am the first Christian they've ever met, really.

Many Christians don't know many other Christians outside of their church so sometimes they feel alone or too out of place. Sometimes it's so difficult to even just let people know that you are a Christian because that conversation seems way too out of place, it is not, but that still doesn't make it something easily brought up in the middle of conversation. On the other hand, it's so great meeting and getting to know those who we would consider "brothers and sisters in the faith."

At The Gospel Center, one of our goals is to have good relationships with other churches, especially in Japan. We are so blessed as a church to be supported and loved by many churches and pastors from all around the world! We'd love to be able to do the same, even as we're just a small church just getting things started.

If you're part of a church that would like to make connections, or possibly send missions teams to Japan in the future, we'd love to hear from you! Please send us an email at admin@thegospelcenter.net
